The opening semi-final match of the 2023 ODI World Cup will see India play New Zealand at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium on Wednesday, November 15. With nine victories in nine games, India became victorious from the league phase. After winning five of their nine games, the Kiwis have advanced to the semi-finals.
In their most recent match, India defeated New Zealand by four wickets. After needing 48 overs to reach the target of 274 runs. In that match, Virat Kohli amassed 95 runs from 104 deliveries, while Mohammad Shami was dismissed.
In their most recent game, India scored 410 runs against the Netherlands, defeating them by an overwhelming 160 runs. In 2017, Tom Latham’s century helped New Zealand defeat India in an ODI match in India by six wickets. Against India, Latham scored his first-ever ODI century. In addition, it was the first time that India and New Zealand had played an ODI match at the Wankhede, the location of the semi-final match.

There have already been a few incredible run fests at the venue during the current competition. The team batting first scored more than 350 runs. Won by an incredible margin in three of the four games played at the ground. During the round-robin phase, Australia was the only team to win a match at Wankhede while trailing.
Under the floodlights in the second innings, seamers dominate the game while hitters take advantage of ideal batting conditions in the afternoon. Pace bowlers have benefited greatly from lateral movement throughout the second innings, and the first semifinal may see more of the same.
