India’s loss in the Cricket World Cup 2023 final, Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the team’s locker room and made an effort to cheer up Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and other players.
In the Cricket World Cup 2023, the Indian cricket team has won every game except one. On Sunday, at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, they lost to Australia by six wickets in the final match. Along with thousands of supporters expecting to put an end to the 12-year wait for the ODI World Cup, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah watched the match.
The host nation was disappointed, though, as Pat Cummins’s troops defeated Rohit Sharma’s army. Upon observing unhappy individuals such as Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, PM Modi approached them in the Team India dressing room.
“Yeh toh hota rehta hai, aap log poora 10-10 game jeet ke aaye ho.”
Desh aap logon ko dekh raha hai, muskuraiye bhai. Sab ko naman socha mil lun. You’ve triumphed in ten straight games. This particular loss is typical; it continues to occur. Everybody in the nation is watching you, so please smile. PM Modi remarked, “I just felt that I should go and meet you people.”
He held hands with Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma and remarked, “Hota hai (it happens).”
The Prime Minister said, “Kya babu (speaks in Gujarati and both laugh)” to fellow Gujarati Ravindra Jadeja.
The Prime Minister went up to Mohammed Shami, who finished the tournament as the leading wicket-taker, and gave him a hug. “Arrey, Shami, accha kiya iss baar. Good work, Shami. You performed incredibly well this time,” he remarked.
“You speak Gujarati?” he asked Jasprit Bumrah. In response, Bumrah said, “A little bit”.
“Toh, aap sab log bahut acchi mehnat kare ho,” PM Modi remarked later in the video. Hota hai, chaliye. In the meantime, ek doosre ka hausla buland karte chaliye. Even though Delhi is a short distance away, aap sab ke saath aap log zara free honge. As soon as I log in, my name appears on the screen. You all put in a ton of effort and performed incredibly well. Simply remain united and continue to inspire one another. Let’s get together once more whenever you guys are free and in Delhi. My sincere invitation to you all is extended.”
The Indian cricket team went into the World Cup undefeated, winning ten straight games before Australia defeated them in the championship match.
